I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex twice unified boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually happening.
